Silvae Sucii

A space where everyone feels celebrated, welcomed, and at home in the outdoors.

why we're here

Silvae Sucii was built on a simple but powerful belief: being met with kindness can change everything—especially for those who’ve felt left out, overlooked, or unsure where they belong. It exists to create a space where mutual support and community are real, tangible, and accessible—a space for everyone, but especially for queer folks and women who haven’t always found that in the outdoor world.

This is a place for people to connect, grow, and feel supported—not only emotionally but also with practical guidance around the outdoors, climbing, injury prevention, and performance. It offers a balance of emotional support and tactical resources to help you navigate your unique journey.

Outdoor culture often feels isolating and exclusive, and breaking in can be hard. This project aims to reduce barriers to entry and break that cycle by building a community where everyone is truly seen and heard, where support is genuine, and where people are celebrated and valued for who they are—no matter their starting point or accomplishments.

Whether you’re searching to trade gear, training advice, injury recovery tips, or simply looking to connect with others who share your passion, this space is designed to help you feel less alone and rooted in something meaningful.

Everyone who comes here brings their whole self—their history, challenges, and strengths. Recognizing our shared humanity and interdependence is central. This project is about building that kind of real, honest community—where support flows both ways, and everyone belongs.

We’re just getting started—and we’re glad you’re here.

What you'll find here

The Community

This space is for anyone who loves the outdoors—or wants to—to feel supported, welcomed, and truly part of a community. Whether you’re just starting out or have been on this journey for a while, you’re encouraged to show up as you are. Every goal, every fear, and every win—no matter the size—is recognized and celebrated. This isn’t about how hard you climb or how far you go; it’s about what the outdoors means to you and how we can support each other along the way.

Built on compassion, connection, and mutual encouragement, this community is designed to help you find climbing partners, trade gear, make friends, ask questions, and share your experiences with people who genuinely care. It’s a space where everyone should feel welcome, and where together, we work to make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive.

The Guidebook

A mix of stories, reflections, and practical tools meant to support you in the outdoors and beyond. Drawing on Peyton’s experience as a bodywork practitioner, along with insights from coaches and guides, we share trusted advice on climbing, injury prevention, recovery, and movement. The guidebook also features contributions from friends and community members, bringing diverse perspectives and deeper insight. Our hope is that through sharing accessible information and authentic experiences, you feel supported, encouraged, and a little less alone—wherever you are on your path.

Meet the person behind the project

Hi, I’m Peyton! (they/them)

A bodywork practitioner dedicated to helping people prevent and treat injuries so they can continue to pursue their passions. I believe everyone deserves to feel fully welcomed and supported in the outdoors, no matter their background or experience. My hope is to foster a compassionate community where people are celebrated, encouraged to embrace what they love, and empowered to live fully.

Why it matters

Too many people are made to feel like the outdoors aren’t for them—especially women, queer folks, and those who didn’t grow up around these spaces.

Between the financial cost of gear, the pressure to perform, and a lack of visible representation, it can be hard to know where—or how—to begin. And with so much to learn about safety, gear, and technique, getting started can feel overwhelming if you don’t have someone to walk alongside you.

This project exists to reduce those barriers. To offer not only emotional support, but also real guidance and community—a place to ask questions, learn, and grow alongside others who want to make this world better.

Because when more people feel safe and supported in the outdoors, we all benefit. We build stronger communities, pass on knowledge more freely, and shift the culture toward something more compassionate and connected.

what we hope

We hope this space helps you feel supported—whether that means having somewhere to turn with questions, connecting with others who care, or simply knowing you don’t have to do it all alone.

This is for anyone who finds meaning in movement and the outdoors. Whether you’re just beginning or have years of experience, there’s space for you here. We all benefit from community. We all have something to give—and something to receive.

Most of all, we hope this brings a sense of connection and ease. A reminder that you’re not on your own.

You already belong.
